MEET THE 2024 CONFERENCE FACULTY
- JEFFREY BAKER, DPM
Dr. Jeffrey Baker is a physician at the Weil Foot & Ankle Institute in Chicago, IL. He is a 1992 graduate of Northeastern University in Boston, Massachusetts and a 2000 graduate from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine.
- MICHAEL BRODY, DPM
Dr Brody went to MIT for his Undergraduate Education and received his DPM from NYCPM. He created and was the Residency Director at DVAMC Northport and worked at the VA Hospital from 1989 until 2016. He has also been in private practice since 1989.
- BRIAN BURGESS, DPM
Dr. Brian Burgess is a board-certified podiatric surgeon who specializes in foot and ankle surgery .In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Burgess is actively involved with medical education. He is the Fellowship Director of Hinsdale Orthopaedics (IBJI) Foot and Ankle Fellowship.
- LELAND JAFFE, DPM
Dr. Leland Jaffe joined the Dr. William M. Scholl College of Podiatric Medicine in 2015 and currently serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
- AIMEE LIPKIS, JD
Aimee Lipkis, Esq. is an equity partner of her law firm Cray Huber in Chicago, Illinois. She obtained her law degree from Michigan State College of Law and has defended doctors in medical malpractice suits, matters before the state disciplinary board and healthcare compliance audits since she started practicing 15-years ago.
- NARENDRA PATEL, DPM
Dr. Patel is Podiatric Foot and Ankle Surgeon in practice since 1997. He specializes in peripheral nerve surgery and treatment of the most complicated cases including non-unions; lower leg, ankle and foot fractures; advanced Ilivarov surgeon for Charcot, and primary and revision total ankle surgery. He practices with Barrington Orthopedic Specialists out of Schaumburg, Bartlett, and Elk Grove Village. He is also Facutly Attending Surgeon for Ascension St. Joseph's residency program in Chicago.
- TRACEY VLAHOVIC, DPM
Dr. Vlahovic is a Clinical Professor and J. Stanley and Pearl Landau Faculty Fellow at the Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine (TUSPM) in Philadelphia, PA. She is also a member of the Faculty of Podiatric Medicine of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Glasgow).Dr Vlahovic graduated from Yale University with a BS in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry and received her medical degree from TUSPM.
- DAVID YEAGER, DPM
Dr. David A. Yeager DPM, FASPS FACFAS currently practices at Morrison Community Hospital in Morrison, Illinois where he is the Chief of Staff and Chief of Surgery. He is a graduate from Seattle University with a dual degree in General Science and English and graduated from the Honors Program. He is a doctorate graduate of Rosalind Franklin Chicago Medical School at Finch University where he received his Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine.
