Product Overview
Kerrison Laminectomy Rongeurs are versatile surgical instruments used to perform trough laminectomies to reduce the degree of spinal canal encroachment. These rongeurs are available in multiple variations, including 2 mm, 3 mm, 4 mm, and 5 mm diameters. They feature a traditional closing mechanism that works like scissors. An ergonomic handle is hinged to the frame, the tips close when the handle is closed, and a return spring opens the instrument when the handle is let go. In the advanced laminectomy rongeur, the scissor mechanism is altered by a parallel handlebar that extends to a higher output/input pressure ratio, and the tip closes automatically when the handle is pressed. All these special features make these rongeurs suitable for a wide range of surgical approaches.
