Bone File

The purpose of the bone file is to shape or smooth bone points or ridges in a tooth socket after tooth extraction. This is a double-ended, file-like instrument with horizontal cutting serrations at both ends. One end usually is broad and curved, with serrations on the face of its convex surface, while the other end typically is narrow, flat, and slightly angled, with serrations on one face.
